Limnowet: LIMNOS is a leading company in the field of constructed wetlands (CWs), which are marketed under the brand name LIMNOWET®. Over the years we have built a number of CWs for the treatment of municipal wastewater from settlements and individual households, industrial plants, leachate from municipal landfills and runoff from roadways.
The development of methods are based on the use of different plant species, sandy substrates and methods of water flow, enabling efficient removal of pollutants from water by means of physical and chemical processes, microbial action and plant uptake.
LIMNOTOP: The brand promotes the concept of rehabilitation of landfill sites, which includes: dense planting of trees on the surface of the landfill, sewage treatment plant for treatment of leachate and irrigation system for establishment of a closed circuit of water within the landfill.
LIMNOSOLIDS: Limnosolids is a passive approach technology of reed beds enabling dehydration, mineralisation and stabilisation of sludge from wastewater treatment plants. It is using only natural processes.

| Description of products and services: |
Today, LIMNOS` activities range from waste water treatment, reclamation of landfill sites, determination of ecologically acceptable flow in streams, rehabilitation and revitalization of canalized streams and lake management to environmental impact assessment and environmental management studies. LIMNOS` main focus is in development of constructed wetlands for treatment of different kind of waste waters as a secondary or tertiary treatment stage and other solutions based on phytotechnologies (reuse of nutrient rich waters for biomass growth, removal/degradation of contaminants with the help of soil-plant systems). Current research is oriented towards a new technology for cleaning up polluted waters and restoring wildlife populations (floating islands). Also new technology for treatment of sludge (sludge drying reed beds; aerobic) from waste treatment plants (suitable for reuse of sludge in agriculture or construction) is developed. A particular attention is given to education and awareness-raising for ecoremediations. Our products/services are designed for a variety of customers (municipalities, companies, private users).
